About Dr. Fallah: Dr. Fallah is pediatric neurosurgeon in the department of Neurosurgery at the University of California Los Angeles and an assistant professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He has a clinical interest in congenital developmental anomalies of the nervous system including Chiari malformations. He also has a joint appointment at the Fielding School of Public Health at UCLA and has a clinical research interest and experience in surgical outcome studies in pediatric neurosurgery.
Dr. Aria Fallah trained at the neurosurgical residency program of the University of Toronto and completed his pediatric rotations at the prestigious Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He earned a graduate degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McMaster University under the tutelage of leaders in Evidence Based Medicine as he led an international multi-centre study on Epilepsy Surgery for Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. He rotated through the epilepsy surgery program at the Cleveland Clinic. Pursuing his passion, he trained at a top fellowship program in Pediatric Neurosurgery at Miami Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Aria Fallah is dedicated to clinical care and teaching in developing nations. He has participated in volunteer trips providing pediatric neurosurgical care for hydrocephalus in Haiti. In addition, Dr. Fallah has been invited to help perform complex surgical procedures, such as a peri-insular hemispherotomy, on the youngest child in Chile.
